Monday May 11

Today I found out that they are going to move dad to the 6th floor of the hospital tomorrow. This is a good thing. The 6th floor is like "a hospital within a hospital." Sounds weird but that is what I was told. It is for longer term patients that need something less than an actual hospital but more than going home. I guess this is the rehab they have been talking about. Dad will get more physical therapy and occupational therapy there. I will find out more tomorrow and hopefully be able to understand and explain it better.

It is weird how a hospital has certain floors that aren't part of the hospital but are like the hospital. Like Brenner's Children's Hospital, it is inside of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (better known as Baptist Hospital), I guess that is what the 6th floor of Forsyth is like. Different yet seems like it is the same.

Confused? Guess it really doesn't matter. The fact is dad will get more therapy on the 6th floor. More therapy the sooner he can get home. How long before he can come home? That all depends on how fast dad builds up his strength. I really believe he is motivated to work with everyone to get well enough to come home. He tells me every day that he just wants to come home.

Other than that I guess everything is about the same. No real issues. He is eating and trying to feed himself.

Keep those prayers going up for dad and me.

Kathy
