Rehab day 13

Not much of an update today. Sorry.

Cat threw up on my couch, TV died last night, gotta do dad's laundry, and I am exhausted. I need to sleep for a week......

I was with dad most of today. He is fine. But for awhile there I wasn't. He wound dressing needed changing and it appears the only person who knew how to do it wasn't at work today (been out all week). With the wound vac they use on dad the dressings are to be changed 3 times a week. His hasn't been changed since last Friday so it had to be done today and even though I was assured the nurses have been trained and know what they were doing I am here to tell you they may have been trained but they sure as heck had no real experience on what they were doing. I stood and watched -- and helped -- while 2 nurses and the unit manager tried to change everything and get the wound vac working. It was exhausting not only for dad but me too. Believe me the nursing administrator will hear from me tomorrow (she wasn't there today either).

Sorry I am just too exhausted. Better update tomorrow.
