rehab day 47

Dad went to the surgeon yesterday. Dr B discontinued the wound vac so dad has wet to dry dressings changed twice a day. He goes back in 6 weeks.

After the doctor's appointment dad and I went to our favorite eating place Cagney's. The waitress' and the owner's wife loved up on dad, hugs, kisses. It made him feel really good.

We are working on ways for dad to get in more time walking during the day, outside of his therapy classes. If things go as we agreed a staff member will walk dad to and from the dining room at meal times OR to the front lobby if dad doesn't want to eat. I think this is great but I get the feeling that dad isn't so sure. I tell him it is more walking and the more he does the better he will get and the faster he can come home.

Keep those prayers going up for dad and me.
