Monday August 3rd

rehab day 61

Sixty one days? Has it really been that long? This coming Thursday will be 20 weeks from the day of surgery.

Daddy is getting stronger every day. I am hoping he will be home in the near future. Ready or not he will have to come home when Medicare (and his insurance) quit paying for his stay. I spoke to the billing people where dad is about this today. I don't want to wait until the last paid day comes before he comes home. I don't want to cut it that close. Private pay is $5,500 a month so that works out to ???? a day. Don't even want to think about it. I spoke to dad's therapists today about this so they will know time is running out.

I did take dad out several times last week. We went to get his haircut, to eat out several times, and even went shopping at AC Moore and Michael's (craft store's for those of you that don't know these stores.) Dad was in the wheelchair. I really hope that physical therapy will soon let dad walk with a walker.

Keep those prayers going up for dad and me.

Oh, Congrads to Mr TP on your upcoming nuptials
Kathy
