Saturday March 28

I found out today that dad has had pneumonia for 3 days. NO ONE TOLD ME this before today. I was so mad. I am at the hospital every day and call the hospital 3, 4 times a day. And none of the Nurses thought to mention that?

Today the doctor also left orders for dad to get 2 units of blood (or blood product I am not sure right now). I am all upset about this so the nurse get the doctor on the phone. Dr B explains that dad's hemoglobin is low and that this is normal. Nothing to worry about. Well I do worry but if dad needs blood then he needs it.

Dad's fever is back. It was 100.8 while I was there.

The respiratory therapist came in and was going to try another breathing test on dad but right before she walked in the door dad's blood pressure shot WAY up. They had some trouble getting it back down so the therapist couldn't try the test then. I asked if she would try later today but she wasn't sure. She needed to talk to the doctor first.

They did remove the tube from dad's nose (it went down into his stomach) today. I am kind of confused by that as they haven't started (or say they were going to start) using the feeding tube dad had placed in during his last surgery. The nurse said she was a little confused about it but that it is what the doctor wanted.

Keep those prayers going up. Daddy and I need them.

[I only have a few family email addresses so please be sure to share the url to this site with all the family you have emails for. I want to make sure that everyone that may want to know knows. I would like to make sure that cousin "Little Joe" knows about dad. (I know Little Joe isn't little anymore but I don't want to put out last names or towns here where anyone can see it.)
