It is amazing how long it takes me to find out things going on with dad. Or maybe it's just the nurses and doctors just don't want to offer up any information.
Yesterday morning they stopped dad's sedation, totally. I knew they would stop it temporarily but this time they haven't gone back to it. So is dad awake? Not exactly. His eyes are open and at times he can/will follow commands but I don't think he knows who is in the room or what is really going on. Nurse L said it takes a few days to get all the sedation out of his system. However the medicine he is getting for pain also has a sort of sedation effect. So how long before dad is totally "with it"? I just don't know.
Dad is running a low fever today .....100.2 and his blood pressure is still up and down but it is not the really high numbers that it was.
So dad is still making those baby steps. Lets keep praying that he keeps going forward.
Keep the prayers going up for dad and me, and for Aunt Betty.
