Sunday April 12 -- Easter

Not a lot to report today. Dad is making some progress and working very hard to do it.

Dad is still running a low grade fever however the infectious diseases doctor said his white blood count is good and they may stop the antibiotics and see what happens.

I haven't spoken directly to Dr B today but more than likely will tomorrow. The nurse said that to "switch out" dad's feeding tube would require another surgery. ::sigh::

They are still doing "breathing tests" everyday, several times a day on dad. Today he didn't last too long when they switched over to CPAP. However when they cut off the ventilator and attached oxygen to his trachea he lasted 2 hours (yesterday only 1 hour)!

Yes dad is still having blood pressure problems but they are keeping a really close eye on it and are keeping him inside the guidelines the doctor has given them.

Baby steps.

Keep those prayers going up for dad and me, and don't forget to pray for Aunt Betty.

Kathy
