Dad has been responding well to the feeding through the feeding tube. His blood pressure is still in a good range with medicine. His potassium is low so he is getting some potassium through his IV.
Today dad didn't do so well with the switch from the ventilator to CPAP, so they only left him on it for about an hour.
The last few days dad has done a lot of twitching, not responding to commands and it doesn't appear that he really sees anything when his eyes are open. Maybe he is but you can't tell it. He is easily startled. Because of all this one of the doctors decided to be on the safe side to have a head CT scan done. As of now (5:24pm eastern) the scan has been done but not yet read. I just have to wait for a doctor to call to say if anything showed up. I am so scared that something will be wrong. I pray that it will be ok and that there will be another reason -- maybe something real simple -- causing dad to act the way he is (or isn't).
Keep those prayers going up for dad and for me.
And keep up those prayers for Aunt Betty.
Kathy
