Dad is doing fine. He was a little down this morning but he lighted up a bit after I was there for a while. When I left they were taking him to therapy. He sat in a chair for most of the day (which he complained about but maybe it was good for him).
Only thing that is new (that I can think of) is something new they started today with the care of dad's wound. I don't have a real good grasp on this yet. They were changing the wound dressings 3 times a day, today they changed everything about the dressing and how it is covered. They are starting something having to do with "vacuuming" any drainage from the wound somehow. All I could find on the internet that I THINK is something like they are using is this: How VAC Therapy Works. From the little I have read this seems like a fairly new therapy. I'm not really sure what to make of it. With this method you only change the dressing once a week (I think that is right). Anyone heard of it before?
Keep those prayers going up for dad and me.
