Monday June 22 -- Kathy's Birthday!

rehab day 18

It's been a long day. In short........I called dad's surgeon early this morning to make an appointment as it appears that his nurse didn't make the call this past Friday as he was told. I managed to get a 10AM appointment this morning.

Dr B did not want to put a stitch at the feeding tube site as was suggested to me. He did prescribe some type of cream to put around the site. He didn't take off the wound the vac to look at dad's wound instead he said give it another month and come back and he would look at it. I don't really remember but I think something was said about dad's colostomy but I can't remember what so it must not be important -- at least not for now.

Dr B also asked dad why he wasn't walking yet. And said that when he comes back in a month he (Dr B) wants dad to walk in -- no wheel chair -- if not then he didn't want to see him in there. This got to dad. I told daddy he was just trying to inspire him or something and don't let it bother him. Privately I was thinking "gosh I hope dad will be walking by then!".

That's about it. Another day that I am just exhausted. Some days I don't feel as tired as others. I think dad feels that way too.

Keep those prayers going up for dad and me.

Kathy
