Today dad looked and said he felt better. Tomorrow morning is when they are going to look into his stomach and see if that is where the bleeding is coming from. Hopefully it is and they will be able to fix it.

A cardiologist came in to look at dad. Right now they can't really do anything about dad's heart. Doing a cardiac cath isn't a possibility because of the dye or whatever it is they use for a contrast would hurt his kidneys and they aren't in good shape right now. One doctor said the dye could do enough damage that dad would have to be on dialysis - dad and I agreed that would not be an option.

The cardiologist also said that given dad's recent history things don't look really good for his heart. Well that isn't exactly how he said it but that is what he meant. I got the impression that another heart attack could be the last. But you never really know.

I think that dad might be leaving me sooner rather than later. I hope not, but at his age and with the heart problems, kidney problems......
